Agenda for Change is proud to announce that 20 incredible young women working with water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs across 12 countries have been selected as part of the inaugural cohort of mentees for the Women in WASH mentorship program.
Each mentee has been matched with a senior female mentor and will receive up to 6 months of mentorship to learn, grow, and connect around themes of WASH, women’s empowerment, planning for the future, advocacy and communication, and job search and interviewing, among other topics. Our goal is that mentees will receive advice and guidance that will help them to continue building and advancing in their careers. They will take part in monthly 1:1 sessions with their mentors, attend sector events focused on WASH, gender, and career growth topics, and build a network of global peers.
The mentees were selected following a competitive process that awarded 20 mentee spots out of almost 200 applications from around the world. Aligned with our vision to promote and create an inclusive and diverse WASH sector, the selection process ensured a balanced geographical representation and gender diversity, as well as a rigorous matching process to ensure a good fit with our mentors.
Congratulations to the mentees, and we are so glad to have you as part of the program!
